REDC Hosts Food Truck Employee Appreciation Event

In June, Rockwall EDC hosted the annual Employee Appreciation Event. The reimagined event began in 2019 and pivoted to a new format in 2021 due to the pandemic. In 2021, the event became an outdoor food truck event, where the REDC hosted several food trucks and two locations and invited the employees of Rockwall’s primary employers to enjoy a complimentary meal as a token of our appreciation for their service to our community.

In 2022, the REDC hoped to have an even larger turnout for the event, inviting even more food trucks and encouraging more workers to come out and take part. In total, 1,510 complimentary meals were served to employees representing 27 of Rockwall’s primary employers. This is an increase of 492 meals over the previous year.

The REDC would like to extend our appreciation and thanks for the commitment and great service these workers provide helping Rockwall to continue to be the best place to live and work.
